MY  PERSONAL PASSION
FOSTERING DOGS

                                                 Dixie Darling my first foster.

I LOVE DOGS and care deeply about the plight of all abandoned and abused animals.  That would be all animals that are mistreated and in need of help.  However, I realize I can only do a small part personally so my focus is on dogs.  Mostly small dogs like Chihuahuas and any kind of puppy.  However, there have been times that I have taken in a large dog.

Whatever their size dogs are dogs.  If you have never worked with a beaten down homeless dog you have missed the joy of seeing them come to understand that humans can be love and kindness.  To witness the blooming of joy and trust born anew in an abused dogs is wonderful

I foster for the Houston SPCA and Cypress PupSquad.  The need for foster homes is huge and the rewards are also.

I will share some of my experiences on this website.  Some are so full of joy and victory.  Some are sad and broke my heart and left me questioning what I do.  I will continue to add more of my foster dogs to Their Stories as I get time.  Come back again and read the stories of my dogs.

The stories of my foster dogs are as individual as each dog.  They come to me with their own set of needs.  Sometimes they are physical and sometimes they are emotional.  Very often they are both.  They come to me from various place in various ways.  Usually they are smaller dogs but sometimes they are larger.  Their breed really doesn't matter it is their needs that brings them.  They stay as long as they need to overcome whatever brought them to me.  Sometimes they stay a little bit longer, until my heart can let them go.

No matter the dog they are a part of me forever.  A child that has gone out into the world to live their life in their forever home.

Most of the my dogs' stories end in them finding their forever loving homes.
Sometimes the stories are sad.
They all were in a loving home while they were here.
